Marley And Me

28 04 2010

Has there ever been a book or novel that has touched you, made your heart clench, your eyes well up in tears, and your mouth trembling?

Pfft. Like that’s possible. I don’t cry. Me Iron Man. Bwahaha. I no cry like crybaby. I am STRONG.

That was me before. NOW, it’s different. Written by John Grogan, Marley and Me is a real life story about Grogan and his world’s worst Labrador retriever, Marley. Marley did everything a dog SHOULD NOT do. Chew on furniture, pull on leashes, pounce on people, even flunk out of obedience school.

But despite all the trouble Marley gave John and Jenny Grogan, it was his personality, his spirit, his “I love fun and I love you” that captured their hearts. He captured mines too. He proved that no matter how bad your dog may seem, he or she is still loyal. Still loves you.

I’m a dog lover myself, and I have to say, having an excitable and energetic, “I love life” dog may seem a handful. But imagine: How much fun would it be?

Be sure to check it out at the library, the theaters (or Blockbuster, even though the book is amazing, I think the movie will be even more hilarious because you can actually see what’s going on xD).

WARNING: A real stomach grabber BUT also a tear jerker. Read with tissues.

Dead End – almost done

8 12 2009

My first story ever…posted online ;D , Dead End, is almost over. Yes, it’s finally coming to an end…after what? a year? Yeah.

The thing is, I’ve never been a good updater. And no one comments, which discourages me. =( But the good thing is, I’ll be completing my first story soon.

I haven’t posted the chapters for Dead End yet. It’s close to being finish. I’m at Chapter 21, maybe on Chapter 22, it’ll end?

I’m not sure yet. Let’s see where it takes us.

Sleeping freshman never lie…A Novel by David Lubar

14 10 2009

Freaks and bullies,
ridicule and romance,
homework and home havoc…

Starting high school is never easy. Seniors take your lunch money. Girls you’ve known forever are suddenly beautiful and unattainable. And you can never get enough sleep. Can there be a worse time for Scott’s mother to announce she’s pregnant? Scott decides high school would be a lot less overwhelming if it came with a survival manual, so he begins to write down tips for his new sibling. Meanwhile, he’s trying his best to capture the attention of Julia, the freshman goddess. In the process, Scott manages to become involved in nearly everything, from auditioning for the school play to running for student council to writing sports columns for the school paper. While he tries to find his place in the confusing world of high school, win Julia’s heart, and keep his sanity, Scott will be recording all the details for his sibling’s—and your—enjoyment.

——-
This is a funny yet so genuine novel. This will keep you hooked and you don’t want to stop reading it. It will cause you to smile and laugh at what happens, groan and turn red at what he does, or shock you beyond your words.

So, here’s the thing? You up for it?

Reasons why you should read it:

1) If you are entering high school, this will give you a preview of high school. OR if you’re already in high school, you can laugh at the unrealistic, yet genuinity of this novel. It is true, yet libel at the same time. Which one is it? You pick.

2) You will be missing out. Here, it is about this guy, Scott Hudson, who does everything for this girl, which actually benefits him a lot more than he thinks. You will be getting tips and learn how to express yourself in the horrors of high school. (dramatic pause)

3) I just think you should read it. It’s not a chick flick (or in this case a girly book — which I believe is SO sexist —I mean, who says a guy can’t read a girl book? COME ON! —anyways back to the topic:). It is experiences of a lifetime. Once you read this, you will feel pumped. YOU will feel like you can do EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING (which I’m afraid to announce might just last a few hours —depending on how determined you usually are =D).

So, what are you waiting for? Get this book at any library or find it in a bookstore. Note: You don’t have to buy a book to read — you can borrow from a friend, teacher, library (or anywhere else as long as it isn’t stealing! =D). I’ll leave you to the possiblities.

First Co-write

15 09 2009

Guess what!?!?! I am now official a co-writer with DarkAngel aka animeangel. ^_^ Our story is called Seven Seas High School. It was an apply story that I applied to. Then she had this application later on (after she recruited the girls) that asked for a co-writer. I was starting to write stories with other people (but they haven’t been published yet) so I wanted to try it out.

She accepted me, and now it’s going to be fun. Here’s the link: Seven Seas High School. Be sure to read it and leave a comment!

I’m going to ask her later if it is okay to post the chapters here as well, seeing that it’s also part of the stories I’ve written. That’s all for now. Laters!

22 08 2009

Dead End is still going on. Han vs Hebe has been paused.

I’m going to start two new stories: Turning Impossible into Possible and I’m Not Going To Be Your Cheerleader.

I already have a chapter or two in, just haven’t created the page for it yet. So, I’ll update when I do.

Turning Impossible into Possible is a cowrite with SaMaNtHa.

I’m Not Going to Be Your Cheerleader is by myself.

Another cowrite is going to be coming so, so wait until my next status update!
